Implementation of WordPress and WooCommerce for the food industry
Project summary:
We have launched a fully functional, responsive e-commerce website and landing page.
We have integrated the solutions needed to run an online shop, namely delivery and payment.
We have introduced the option to place orders directly from the product listing.
We have set up an environment for websites.
Project objectives
The aim of our work for the Wege Umami brand was to launch a newly designed website. We were keen to ensure the site was both functional and intuitive. To this end, we set up the website environment and also implemented solutions to make it easier for customers to use the online shop.
The old website Wege Umami wasn’t intuitive, and the user did not have a clear presentation of the offer.
Online shop
Wegeumami.pl was intended to operate as an e-commerce site. We therefore supplied and configured the WooCommerce extension accordingly. This enables the client to run an online shop with a fully functional shopping system. We also implemented a customised order view, divided into stages.
Additional integrations
We have integrated the Wege Umami online shop with an extension that allows staff to choose a carrier from all those available on the market and calculate delivery costs directly within WordPress. To ensure the online shop runs smoothly, we have also configured the system to work with a reputable payment provider and Blik.
Purchase a specific capacity directly
from the product listing.
For Wege Umami, we have implemented the ability to make a purchase directly from the product listing. We have configured the buttons with variants so that they appear on every tile in the product preview. This allows users to select the appropriate product type (in the case of Wege Umami – the size) and then add it to their basket without having to navigate to the product detail page.
Landing page for catering
We have created a dedicated landing page at catering.wegeumami.pl, the purpose of which was to redirect users to subpages services offering all-day catering . The website was intended to serve as a platform for brand promotion and to encourage engagement. We based the whole thing on the WordPress platform.
Wege Umami
Wege Umami is a company offering vegetarian and vegan products. The brand is committed to healthy eating and protecting the environment.
Integration with payments
We have integrated the most popular payment systems. Wege Umami customers can now pay on delivery, via PayU or using Blik. Users select their preferred payment method when placing their order.
Navigation of the website
In the shop WooCommerce we have implemented a dynamically loading megamenu, with the option a9> megamenu with the option to add images to its items.
To improve the user experience, we have prepared a section with a product slider that which allows filtering the range by category.
Product page
We have implemented product pages in accordance with the design of the new website www. According to it we have introduced, amongst other things, prices of products directly via the button “add to basket”, which change dynamically, depending on the selected variant.
