The perfect website – responsiveness, clarity and a consistent corporate image

How they see you, that’s how they certainly know that saying. – You surely know this saying. There’s quite a bit of truth in it and it has its own application in the virtual world. How many times have you got upset, logged out of the site, because it wasn’t working properly or or finding interesting information for you was almost a miracle? If so, it means that you came across a bad website. When creating a website online, don’t forget about quality. A low price for the work should not be the main determining factor. You won’t be able to create a good functional website on your own, if you don’t have the knowledge in this area.

First, a website must be responsive. Internet users are changing, and with it, lifestyles and habits. We spend about six hours a day using the internet. We no longer rely solely on desktop computers for browsing websites or social media. We are mobile, and 51% of Poles have a smartphone. We use our phones for about two hours a day. A responsive website is one that adapts to various screen sizes, such as phones or tablets. Your customers view your company’s website on their phones as well. When it’s not properly adapted, the experience becomes uncomfortable. With a responsive website, you don’t lose customers.

Another sin you can’t commit is depriving your website of clarity and simplicity. An unreadable website, overloaded with information and graphics, doesn’t encourage return visits. We must exercise moderation in everything, including adding content and images to the page. Furthermore, remember to use white space – the page needs to breathe. Be careful, because the average user needs only 5 seconds to make an initial assessment of a website’s usefulness. See what a good website should look like, one that adheres to the principles of functional and clear design.

When you manufacture car parts, you don’t (I hope) put flowers, bees, and bugs happily fluttering around on your subpages—unless you really like them. Of course, I’m kidding about that last one. The content on your website must align with your company’s image. The image and content can’t be completely different. Think about what you want to say about yourself and only then post it on your website. You certainly have a lot of interesting things to say, but we can’t write everything in the form of a long essay. Texts shouldn’t be too long, because no one will read them. If you want someone to contact you, write concisely and in a way that suits your target group. Be engaging and choose the right visual layer.
