Project objectives
Our aim was to design a new corporate website for GBG, taking into account UX standards and showcasing a comprehensive portfolio. We therefore developed a new visual identity that highlighted the company’s distinctive features.
Our client
GBG Building Services is an English construction company based in London. Run by Poles, it is growing rapidly in the field of construction, reconstruction and renovation of old buildings. The company has a diverse portfolio, which includes, amongst other things, restored Victorian buildings, the conversion of old tenement blocks and the comprehensive refurbishment of public buildings and residential properties. Painting façades, restoring wooden staircases and renovating walls are just a few examples of their work.
Solution
We have created a responsive brand website designed to present the company as a specialist in its sector. We have developed a key visual design that sets GBG apart from the competition and showcases its services for premium clients. We have tailored the entire site to current UX standards and built it using an intuitive CMS.
KV
The rebranding of the company involved the development of a new visual identity. To tailor the visual identity to the needs of a specific target audience, we used a specific colour palette and added a decorative serif font. We opted for a white background with navy blue and gold elements. The calm colours visually balanced the content on the website and lent an elegant touch to the photographs on display.
Website UX/UI
During the UX design process, we focused on conversion on the website. For the GBG website, this involved filling in contact forms and downloading the company’s brochures. To this end, we included numerous CTAs linking to the relevant subpages.
Another feature that enhances the user experience is the use of animations, which, when properly optimised, speed up the page loading process. To ensure the company maintains a positive image, we have highlighted customer reviews in a separate section on the homepage.
Portfolio
Our client’s main priority was to make their services stand out and present their portfolio more effectively. To achieve this, we used large images, which we optimised for SEO.
